Meet Our Staff

 

GREGG A. TOBEY, PT
Gregg earned his Physical Therapy degree from Ithaca College in 1984, where he also played lacrosse.  His career path began at Duke Medical center, progressing to Braintree Rehab Hospital/Graduate courses at the Mass General Hospital, in and out-patient Orthopedics and graduate courses at the Medical College of Virginia, then to the private sector with Tuckahoe Physical Therapy.  He founded Powhatan Physical Therapy in February 2001, and has recently established a new location in the  Oakbridge Office park.  His continuing education has emphasized functional orthopedic and sports medicine therapy techniques.
Gregg is married and has four children; his interests include investing time into his family and church, working out and coaching the Central Virginia Home School Athletic Association Patriots High School baseball team.

SHAUNALEE L. BAILEY, PT, DPT
Shaunalee graduated Magna Cum Lauda with her B.A. in the Science of Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise with minors in Biology and Chemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. During this time she was the captain of the Woman's Cycling Team helping her team win Conference Championships and go on to Nationals in 1999 and 2000. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia at VCU. She has been working full time for Powhatan Physical Therapy since 2004 and part-time at Midlothian Orthopedics and Sports Physical Therapy. Her clinical interests include endurance sports, treatment of the spine and shoulder, woman's health, bike fit, and nutrition.

E. DANIELLE SMITH, PTA
Dani has been a part of the PPTC team since 2001.  Her education includes an Associates degree in Applied Sciences, Physical Therapy Assistant, from John Tyler Community College.  She worked at Johnston-Willis physical therapy as a physical therapy aide prior to attending PTA school. 
Dani lives here in Powhatan with her husband, Danny, and 2 children. She enjoys reading, camping, spending time with her family and working with her church.

DONNA L. MAZZA, PTA
Donna joined PPTC in January of 2003 as our part time PTA. She received her Physical Therapy Associates Degree in 1991. Donna's experience includes cardio-pulmonary and head injury rehab as well as joint replacement therapy through St. Mary's Hospital and Sheltering Arms.

Donna and her husband Mark have five children, all of whom keep them both very active pursuing a host of enjoyable family activities. They are involved as well in their church, teaching and coordinating inreach/outreach for children's ministries.

KIM B. BIDWELL, PTA
Kim joined PPTC in January 2005.  She received her Physical Therapy Associates Degree in May 2000 from John Tyler Community College.  Most of Kim’s experience has been in outpatient orthopedics.  Before coming to PPTC, Kim worked at Progressive Therapy, in Buckingham County for four and a half years.  While in school, she worked as a physical therapy aide at Action Rehab in Midlothian.

Kim lives in Powhatan with her husband, Rick.   She enjoys spending time hiking, water skiing and training dogs.  Kim is also involved with a K-9 Search & Rescue unit that responds to missing person calls throughout Virginia.
